Lychen’s Drawing Pin Walk
Soviet Cemetery
116 Soviet soldiers and one child are buried in this cemetery, which was established by the Red Army shortly after the end of the war in 1945.
Apparently no Soviet soldiers were killed during the liberation of Lychen on April 28, 1945: The dates of death of those buried here are either well before (suggesting reburials) or long after.Â
The inscription on the plinth reads: „Eternal glory to the fighters of the Soviet army who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of mankind from fascist slavery.“
